Morgantown, WV | NICU / PICU (Pediatric & Neonatal)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Expected 8 RTs per shift staffing model | 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts) | Holiday availability may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of respiratory care for pediatric and neonatal patients in the NICU and PICU settings, managing an expected 20–25 treatments per day
• Operate and manage ventilators including Hamilton and Servo ventilators , as well as NAVA ventilation mode
• Administer respiratory therapies including aerogen, Volara, cough assist, and IPV treatments
• Perform airway management and assist with intubation procedures (assist only — independent intubation not required)
• Conduct intrahospital transport of pediatric and neonatal patients
• Utilize BiPAP (Respironics & Hamilton) and High Flow Nasal Cannula (Fisher Paykel) equipment as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a PICU and/or a Level 4 or higher NICU
• Proficiency with Hamilton and Servo ventilators, NAVA, BiPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula systems
• Experience providing respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with aerogen, Volara, cough assist, and IPV therapies
• Familiarity with intrahospital transport protocols for critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, team-based environment with intensivist/hospitalist coverage in house
